Recruitment & Selection: An Integrated Approach

In the selection process, does it make sense to rely solely on the “intuition” from the interview, or should we instead focus entirely on standardized tools? Both approaches, when used in isolation, have their drawbacks and can compromise the effectiveness of the evaluation.

At Braganò & Partners Head Hunting, we adopt a model that focuses on the complementarity between subjective and objective evaluation to provide a comprehensive and accurate picture of candidates.

What does this mean in practice?

  • Objective Evaluation: We use tools such as aptitude tests, personality tests, and Assessment Centers that allow us to observe behaviors in simulated but realistic settings. These tools generate measurable and comparable indicators useful for supporting the decision-making process in a structured way;
  • Subjective Evaluation: We rely on Occupational Psychologists, who apply active listening, empathetic observation, and the reading of interpersonal dynamics. This is not simple “intuition”, but a structured analysis of the emotional, motivational, and value-driven signals that emerge during the candidate’s interaction;
  • Specificity: Each search is tailor made, taking into account the specific industry, corporate culture, and the unique characteristics of the role. This allows us to avoid rigid models and focus on valuing the person in their entirety, not just their professional profile.
